Finally tapped a fresh keg of this at work so I thought I'd give it a second chance. What a difference fresh makes for this beer! It looks totally different. It is a warm gold with a fat soda-ish head that is slow to go but eventually does. Smells of light bubblegum and lighter banana. Taste is totally different from the bottle I sampled. It is not watery, though it is light and has more of light bubllegum and banana flavor I picked up in the nose. Any twang in the way of citrus or cloves is masked by wheat astringincy.
Mouthfeel is light and lively but theres a fizziness issue here that hurts both mouthfeel and drinkability.

Poured from the aluminum pint bottle into a goblet. Watery, airy head quickly goes away leaving a fizzy bulb of cloudy, slightly grainy beer that resembles Thera Flu. Tangy, lemony aroma. Flavor is just not really there for me. I get some sweetness and some yeast and lemon, but overall this really hangs back. Mouthfeel is actually pretty satisfying; I feel like there's just some flavor there that I am not getting. I am a fan of hefeweizen in General but I'd handily take a Paulaner or White Rascal over this. This tastes like a fuller-bodied Blue Moon to me, but wouldn't refuse one. This'd be great on a hot day or to take camping or boating. This would also probably greatly benefit from a lemon or orange wedge but I've already drank most of it so screw it. Decent, but there are a number of widely available wheats in the same price point that I would rather buy.

Poured from a bottle into a Pokal. White bubbly head, fades fast...little to no lacing. Stray in color...a milky yellow/gold...hazy sediment, clean...not chunky.
Yeasty, fresh bread on the nose with a hint of lemon grass.
Medium to high carbonation on the tongue. Grassy, sourdough bread, saltine crackers and lemon butter all up front. A creamy, bubbly mouthfeel. A quick, clean finish, slightly bitter red apple peel. I'm left with a crusty piece of toast...dabbed with a touch of honey.
Decent, well balanced wheat. Not an overly complexed beer but what it does...it does well. At 4.4 ABV this is an easy drinking session that would be perfect as an entry level wheat as well as a staple in most connoisseurs rotation...cheers!
