Poured from 12oz bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: cloudy, pale yellow color; rather looks like a witbier. Head is a thin finger of white foam which dissipated rapidly leaving no lace at all. Wheat beers are supposed to have heads!

Smell: aroma is refreshing, wheaty, a little citrusy and a little sour. Not too bad, but rather on the light side.

Taste: wheat, citrus, a little clove and a little pear. A pretty interesting combination; frankly, I rather like it. Bitterness is minimal and the hops don't really stick out for me, but within this style that's fine.

Mouthfeel: light body with a relatively nice level of creaminess. It could be better, though.

Drinkability: light, flavorful, refreshing. This is quite a drinkable beer indeed.

A: Straw colored. Very cloudy - almost opaque. Some bubbling visible. Thin foam which fades quickly to just a paper thin white layer.

S: Not much nose. Some lemon coming through with perhaps a little banana sweetness.

T: Dull sweet taste with hints of citrus. This fades to a roasted flavor. No aftertaste.

M: Medium body with lots of fun carbonation.

D: Not very potent in smell or taste but refreshing nonetheless.

A: Pours a very hazy yellow with a little less than one finger of slightly off-white head.

S: Nothing too impressive, but a nice fruitiness with a hint of malt.

T: Nice mild fruitiness, taste a good hint of citrus (lemons). Nothing overly impressive, standard wheat beer.

M: Nice moderate carbonation, bit of a tartness on the back end but nothing overpowering. Medium-light bodied.

D: Very drinkable beer, and that is one of it's best qualities. Great if you want to have a few with most types of dinner. This was actually my 'intro' beer that exposed me to beer outside of the big 3 lagers. I constantly get friends to try this and it rarely disappoints and helps convert quite a few to try more!

Poured from home kegerator. Pours to a thick white head that falls to a thin layer with some lacing. Cloudy whitish yellow color. Aroma is slightly fruity and grainy. Flavor is a delicate balance of crispy, crackery, tangy wheat, yeast esters, malt sweetness and very slightly detectable balancing hop bitterness and flavor. A delicate flavor that exhibits sweetness but does not cloy and bitterness that does not linger. Light refreshing mouthfeel and absolutely drinkable. A totally exceptional "session-able" wheat ale for all occasions.

Tip: this beer is an excellent choice to pair with fish and seafood dishes, especially those with lemon-butter sauces it really complements the food and the food brings out the flavor in the beer in a big way. Also good with pesto and Alfredo pasta dishes as well.

The bar had this listed as a Hefe. Served in Imperial pint glass. Poured a cloudy yellow with a thin white head that had low retention and light lacing.

The aroma was very subdued (it had none of the expected banana and cloves usual for a Hefe, but maybe it's not a Hefe), just hint of yeast and some wheat. The flavors were also subdued, no really outstanding components, except for the faint wheat and yeast.

I found the body on the thin side, but the beer was very effervescent. Drinkability was also just OK. Overall, if this is a Hefe, it's not a very good one. If it's not, then it's a decent beer, but nothing special. This is my first beer from a brewery I've heard nothing but good things about. I hope the rest of the line-up is better.

Pours a rather dull pale wimpy cloudy yellow. No outstounding head or lace here.

Smell is typical of a wheat. Lemon, citrus, and is that pale malt?

I'm gonna say that I love the taste. It's simple, straightforward, and refreshing at the same time. It follows the nose to the letter. This is what a APWA is supposed to taste like. Nothing complex here and there's not supposed to be. Lemon, citrus, faint hops, and pale malt. Just plain freakin good.

Mouthfeel is pretty watery but its not a RIS so whaddya expect?

I could drink this stuff all day. When all you want is a decent beer to end the day this is it. Is it a masterpiece of brewing genius? No, but it is a good beer.

I get this all the time at the casino since it's their only craft offering on-tap.

Poured a nice unfilitered golden color with a sizable head.
Very grainy in smell and taste, some lemon zest. refreshing. after a while something about it begins to seem buttery as it warms, but it might be in my head.
Overall it's a pretty good, and extremely sessionable beer. Much happier drinking this than some BMC when there is a limited offering.

Hazy blone with a pure white head of fizz that leaves very little lace on the glass. The nose is barely a whiff of sour citrus and wheat malt. This beer is light in the flavor department as well. Light wheat malt, soft lemon and clove. Nice medium light mouthfeel with soft carbonation. This beer is way too light for my tastes.

Serving type - Bottle into glass

A - Pours a pale, hazy golden color with little foam head.

S - Faint grains, wheat, malt

T - Light grainy flavor, wheat with a hint of malt. Pretty plain, but inoffensive

M - Light/medium bodied. Moderate carbonation

D - The highlight of this beer. Very drinkable and refreshing, it would make for a great lawnmower beer on a hot summer day

Overall - A pretty plain, basic beer. Not bad, but not special either. There are better APWA's out there.

Golden straw color and hazy, the wheat beer had soft aroma's of wheat and honey. Easy to drink with mellow banana, wheat, light citrius hiding in the background. I felt it was a little lean in body, but quite enjoyable. Certainly a great clean wheat beer for a hot summer day.

Hazed gold capped by white, airy foam.

Light, grainy pale malt and crackery wheat mingle with a very faint citric hoppiness. Bitterness is mild and the finish is quite dry with ample carbonation that makes for a very light, flavorful, and refreshing beer.

This fits the American Wheat profile very well, and is a go to beer for me at bars with less than spectacular craft selections.

Poured into the glass a medium yellow to dark straw color, very transparent in the glass. A small white head forms on top and quickly dissolves away. The twang of a yeasty scent hits the nose, along with mellow aroma of wheat. It finishes with a light lemon citrus fragrance. A bread and yeast flavor hits the front of the palate, as it reaches the back a mild grassy, with touch of pine bitterness comes through. That bitterness lingers and the taste stays there long after the beer has washed away. A thin watery texture, with the strong feel of carbonation hitting at the halfway point, it continues all the way through till the finish. The beer as a whole is okay, the color is weak and a little lackluster. The scent and taste are true to the style and stay consistent. The feel had a lot more carbonation than I would like. Still, this is solid beer, a good session beer and a very good choice for summertime camping.

A - Hazy, golden wheat straw color. Thin white head that disappears fairly fast.

S - Bready wheat aroma. Has some lemon and a little banana with slight spice (clove).

T - Bready and wheat is dominant that provides some sweetness. There is also a bit of lemony and citrus taste that provides some tartness to the beer.

M - Medium bodied and average carbonation.

D - Pretty easy to drink but the flavors aren't amazing and make you necessarily grab another.

Notes: I didn't necessarily think the flavors were offensive, but there was nothing great about it. One of the weakest beers from Boulevard

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

A: Cloudy golden yellow with fluffy head that stuck around for just a little while, left a little lacing at the top.

S: Not a lot on the nose. Some fruit and yeasty esters. Smells like blueberry.

T: Touch of citrus along with the wheat sweetness and again with the blueberry fruit.

M: Pretty good. Smooth and not overly-carbonated.

D: Oh, a fella could knock back a lot of these. Session factor is very, very high.

This beer holds up well, even almost ten years after I had my first it's still a solid example of the style.

12 oz bottle.

A - Cloudy, straw color with a 1 to 2 inch head that dissipates very quickly. Seems "effervescent".

S - Lemon, fruity, yeast.

T - Profile follows smell with mild bitterness.

M - Thin body with carbonation sting. Leaves a bit of a coating on the tongue.

D - Drinkable, but would choose a different wheat when in the mood for one.

Overall: When I buy the Boulevard mixed case, I drink this beer. I would not pour it out, but would not buy it primarily either.

This is a beer that I really won't drink from the bottle. I first had it on-tap and haven't been able to make the switch to bottle. It's a very flavorful, yet light beer. My girlfriend will order it when we're out, and she's not much of a beer drinker so that shows that the drinkability is relatively high. This is a great option if you're looking for a good wheat brew.

A - Yellow lemon-straw color. Neon. Cloudy witbier characteristics. About 1/2 a finger of puff-cloud white head. And some not-bad lacing. Not much continued carbonation.

S - Lemonade, dish-cleaner, and a bit of yeast. Near the end of the glass I got a bit of a mild hop smell, but by then my opionons had already been made.

T - Crisp, very little hop and only a tiny bit of malt to taste. Some noticeable lemon/acidic tones, but overall lacks character.

M - Light bodied, thin but slightly fizzy with a bit of mouth coating texture.

D - Like that carbonated lemon water they sell to joggers. Needs more beer characteristics. Lots of lemon and not much else. Easy to drink yes, but in a girly way.

12 oz stubby. Brought back from Nebraska by a buddy. Consumed 11/23/09.
A) Pours with very little... actually no head. No lacing. Slight haze but still a touch of clarity. Gold in color.
S) Faint citrus notes. Overall aroma, nearly none existent.
T) Light citrus orange and wheat taste. Mellow malt sweetness. No after taste. Finishes weak and empty.
M) Fizzy. Light dryness. Light body.
D) Feels like a beer in mouthfeel. Looks bad. Smells like nothing and tastes weak ... did I get a bad beer?

Thanks to hwwty4 for this!

Best by 01/21/10:

Pours clouded lemon-drop yellow with a thin white head.

The smell is bready/crackery wheat - some orange tang.

The taste is of sweet grainy malt with a kiss of honey. Wheat tang and and underlying orange-ish sourness keeps it from being too sweet. Just a hint of spicy hops in the refreshingly crisp finish.

Light-bodied and creamy, it is more effervescent than fizzy. It does have a nice creamy texture and is truly "refreshing".

Certainly "drinkable". Very smooth, creamy texture and nice sweet and sour balance, with refreshing dryness make this a very "sessionable" brew. I could see myself putting this into a summer line-up if it were readily available (though "thirst-quenching" and "refreshing" year-round. Stands out in a line-up of typically bland pale wheats. For a non-hoppy wheat, this is very nice!

12 oz bottle into a pint glass.

A: Pretty good looking beer overall. Pours a nice golden color, decent clarity and with a nice carbonated look. White head with decent retention, but no lacing.

S: Not much of a scent to mention. Faint wheat smell is about all I could pick up from this.

T: Wheat is definitely the best descriptor here. Seems like it needs something else to back it up, but it works alone. Maybe a hint of citrus in there. I like to squeeze some lemon into it to help the flavor.

M: The aftertaste wasn't all that weloming to me, but it had good carbonation. The body was a little to heavy for me.

D: The more you drink, the less you notice the poorer qualities of the brew. So, this is actual an easy-to-drink beer.

Overall/notes: I've had a ton of experiences with this beer. It's in the bottle and on-tap everywhere in CoMo. Nothing great, but an okay beer. I'd like to reiterate: it works a lot better with a lemon.
