This has really been my go-to beer recently since it is usually one of the best offerings in many local bars and convenience stores.
Pours a nice orange amber color with a head that sticks around for a little while and leaves a lace on even plastic cups, which is how many establishments serve it around here, I know I shouldn't take it this way but when the price is lower for a bigger plastic cup, I am not one to complian too much.
At my No. 1 regular place, the bartenders have a glass waiting for me when I sit down and they often give me the employee discount since they say I am there enough, I should work there.
Aroma has a hint of citrus and malt, nothing too extraordinary here, but is very pleasant. Hint of some floral hops, but that is again only faint, though noticable.
Taste is pretty good as most American PA's go. Slight citrus and hoppiness on the finish but the malt is definitely the overiding taste on this one. Hoppiness comes through with a slight bitterness on the aftertaste and the yeast is evident when having it from the bottle.
Overall an above average American Pale and as I said a great fallback when superior brews are not available.
Serving type: on-tap
