12oz bottle picked up in the mixed 12 pack. best by halloween of this year. drank from my sierra nevada hop tulip glass.
A- the pour yields a light copper colored body with a finger of bright white head on top. the head has moderate retention and leaves behind small spots of lacing.
S- the first thing i can pull out of the nose are floral and light citrus hops. after that i get some bready notes and some sweet caramel hops.
T- the taste starts out with some faint toasted bread malts and some caramel malt which adds a sweet backbone. after that it moves onto some hops. they come across as mostly floral and herbal with a little bit of citrusy grapefruit as well.
M- the body is on the lighter side, even for a pale ale. the carbonation seems a touch high.
O- not as bitter and hoppy as i would like. it might be nice for a change of pace once in a while, but i think that sierra nevada pale will still be my go to for the style.
