Received as an extra from Exiled, thanks! Batch S8254 split with cbutova.
Pours hazy light orange with a bubbly white head. Quite a bit of sediment on the 2nd pour. Retains well and leaves some lacing.
Scent is light Belgian-ness, spice, bready notes, light fruit, reminds me of a faint tripel. Some slight funky and tart aromas. Opens up more once it warms.
Flavors include spicy Belgian yeast, citrus/coriander, grassy hops, earthy hay notes and some hints of granny smith apple. Like the smell, it gains strength over time/as it warms. Creamy, highly carbonated.
Started out like an average/decent BSPA to me but more farmhouse aromas and flavors came to the rescue making this a bit more tasty and complex. Good saison overall, looking forward to trying the Brett edition.

Notes of apple on the nose. Tangy, spicy...really worth the wait. 2007 vintage.
