Boulevard is fairly new to the area, but i've had em for years. The Oktoberfest made it this way and I'm grateful.
Poured a crystal clear amber orange with not much of a head, infact all lacing and head dissipated within the first few minutes.
There's no aroma to speak of, just a slight malt sweetness.
Taste is bland, with some metallic and chlorine twang in the back. It's got a grainy cereal sweetness, some honey and toffee notes. Some caramel and a light pear fruitiness. A slick mouthfeel, and there's the cholophenols again in the finish.
Sure, it's drinkable, but it's not something i'd pay premium prices for. MAybe if I could get a sixer for less than $7, it would be a worth by. As it is, this is a poor martzen/lager with some strange off flavors.
