A - Deepish copper color with a lovely creamy foamy head. I overpoured a little bit and it left me with a large head but it was really attractive.
S - Mild dried fruit, slight caramel & brown sugar, a bit of earthy bread in the back.
T - Dominated by the hops up front. Piny, earthy, just a little astringent at first and then I get a lot of apricots.
M - Very smooth, coats the tongue nicely, and not overly bitter to finish. It seems like they have opted for more flavoring hops then straight out bittering hops. If that makes sense.
O - A nice DIPA. I really love the Smokestack series from these guys and this didnt disappoint. I seem to recall it tasting differently at the ACBF and I hit Boulevard first.
