Intro: 12 oz. bottle served in a tulip glass
Appearance: Medium amber color with a slight hazy consistency. Extreme beige colored head that diminishes as the pour proceeds but stays throughout.
Smell: Strong hoppy aroma with hints of pine and citrus. Smells like a good quality classic DIPA.
Taste: Strong bitter hoppy bite. Little else, just straight away hops. Slight boozy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Coats the mouth, dry at the end...nice carbonation
Drink: Very easy to drink and can go down rather quickly if you're not paying attention. An enticing beer that makes you want another one as you finish a pour.
Conclusion: A very respectable offering in the DIPA category. Although not heading the list of my favorite DIPA's, I would put in the upper 20% of the class. I've had this beer a few times and I'm sure it will be a mainstay in my fridge.
