A: Beautiful, slightly hazy, ruby red with shades of orange. Thick, dense, fluffy, frothy, off-white head that hangs around for a long time leaving behind lots of great lace and retention. Gorgeous! Not sure how a beer can look much better.
S: Wow! Intense and inviting aromas of cherry, wood, caramelized sugar and other sweetness, roasted and lightly smoked malt, booze, a little chocolate, and some more cherry. Ice/dessert wine as far as fruit aromas are concerned.
T: Super sweet, slightly tart, and a bit dry. Complex is an understatement. Cherries, wood, bourbon, smoke, malt, earth, char, booze. Some sips it reminds me of wine...other sips it reminds me of a spirit. What is this?!
M: While sweet and fairly boozy, it's never over-the-top. Complements the other qualities of the beer well. Thick, delicious, with massive flavor. A relatively easy to drink 750ml bottle of serious liquid.
O: I don't drink many quads so I'm not the best judge of this style but this is phenomenal. As a beer and as a quad. The cherries and barrels add great complexity to what I'm sure is an already great beer. Well done, Boulevard!

Poured from a 22 oz bottle into an oversized wine glass. Head starts out as fizzy on the initial pour, but quickly settles into a large fluffy tan head. Deep amber-brown body.
Some cherry and a lot of bourbon in the nose, with typical quad notes lurking in the background. Definitely some alcohol present in the nose as well.
Tastes wonderful and exactly how you would expect. Definitely a quad backbone with bourbon and cherry vanilla floating on top. Some pepperiness, probably from the higher ABV.
Mouth seems a pinch thin, but swirling in the glass helps.
A really great beer, enjoying the last night in our current house. Lots of memories here, and this beer will be one of them.
