The sixth beer in our "Super Boulevard Beer Tasting" for the Saints world championship victory!
Picked this up from Wine and Cheese Place. Thanks, guys, you have my business forever - such a great operation!!
Pours a reddish brown, huge head that subsides but never dissapears.
Smells like something I've never had before, very unique and pleasant. Bourbon and cherry (duh!) but a wonderful sweetness from the malt and some woody elements as well, but not a ton of barrel. Slight nilla and coconut.
Taste is really great but STRONG! A nice toffee and caramel base but not terribly malty. The star of the taste is the bourbon. The cherry is there as well, but the bourbon makes this beer shine with it's vanilla wood notes and nice sharp kick. Well done!
Syrupy mouthfeel to me, but some others disagreed. Carb was nice, this just felt heavy and I want a BA Belgian to still dance a bit.
Drinkability was amazing for such a strong beer. I accidentally drank 2 samples (apologies to my wonderful, understanding fiancee - sorry for the mix-up, we have another bottle with your name on it). Overall a really great, unique, well crafted beer. Highly recommended.

Poured from a 22 oz bottle into an oversized wine glass. Head starts out as fizzy on the initial pour, but quickly settles into a large fluffy tan head. Deep amber-brown body.
Some cherry and a lot of bourbon in the nose, with typical quad notes lurking in the background. Definitely some alcohol present in the nose as well.
Tastes wonderful and exactly how you would expect. Definitely a quad backbone with bourbon and cherry vanilla floating on top. Some pepperiness, probably from the higher ABV.
Mouth seems a pinch thin, but swirling in the glass helps.
A really great beer, enjoying the last night in our current house. Lots of memories here, and this beer will be one of them.
