A - Golden colored brew with a small but long-lasting white head. Nice lace on the glass.
S - Big fruity hops with a hint of pine. This one is one of the most fruit oriented noses on an IPA I've had (without that fruit being grapefruit, although that is there too).
T - Bitter hops with an astringent sour note that is almost too much for me. Lemon, orange rind, and the most sour of unripe grapefruits. Individuality is good, and this is quite unique, but it strays a bit far from the standard IPA formula IMO.
M - Medium bodied, bready, and slightly toasty. This one is causing me to pucker up and make a "sour" face. Not bad sour, but not quite that exquisite super-hop pucker either.
D - This is a very assertive brew that will put fear in the hearts of hop-haters everywhere. I love the hops, and it's almost too acrid for me... not in a super-hopped way... there is something else here adding some sourness. It's almost brett-ish in a way, although I seriously doubt that brett is actually used for this one. I'm kinda torn on this one.

12 ounce bottle poured into a pint glass.
Appearance: Darker yellow to copper in color with 1 1/2 fingers of white rocky foam that reduces but leaves a thin froth covering the top of the beer. Dark but is transparent and clear. Nice carbonation rinsing up in the glass.
Smell: Dank wet pine needles, citrus and herbal aromas
Taste: First thing you get are the hops and they medium to medium high in your mouth. Latter the beer warms a little bit the malt notes catch up and they balance this beer nicely.
Mouth Feel: Mdium bodied and dry with a crisp long finish.
Overall: This is a preferred style for me and this particular beer is a good representation of the style. Crisp and dry makes it a perfect beer to just kick back and enjoy. This isn't a beer for "slammin' "after working in the sun all afternoon. Instead save it for later when it is relaxing time.
