Had on-tap at Asheville Growler. Served in a pint glass.
A- Pours a semi-hazy medium amber color with a 1/4 inch white head that retains a bit before becoming a thin ring around the edge of the glass and a half sheet of spackled surface foam. Semi-resilient lacing leaves a jagged ring behind.
S- Solid Belgian yeast aroma brings notes of banana, coriander and a hint of bubble gum.
T- Very different from other wits I've had as there is a very pronounced citrus element that seems to be equal parts yeast and hops. Sweet but with a good dose of spices to round it out. Juicy, slightly tart, more bubble gum. Alcohol is very well hidden.
M- Somewhat zesty but kind of thin and dry. Medium carbonation and a lightish body.
O- Very unique flavors going on here. They've pretty much pinpointed the ideal construct of an imperial witbier.

Appearance: 1/3 inch head, low carbonation, gold in color, hazy
Smell:wheat, lemon, orange, clove and lavender
Taste: wheat, lemon, orange, clove, and lavender
Mouthfeel: medium body, sweet, medium carbonation
Overall: One of the more interesting takes on a witbier that I have had in a while. I get a lot of lavender in this beer and it is a taste I really enjoy. For me, this will be one of my go to witbiers.

Poured at Cork & Cask, Cornelius NC...
Really neat beast... pours golden with sticky lacing. Loads of spice in the nose and in the taste, coriander and zest heaped upon a thin wheat backbone. Then there's the lacto-funk, which really makes this brew interesting. I just reviewed NoDa's Gose... it could've used some of this complexity. Neat brew.
