Hazy yellow in color, 2 finger soapy head, retention was ok, leaves a thin lace
Grassy and lemon aromas dominate, cinnamon and mineral aromas as well. Pear and apple aromas, damn this has a complex smell
Lemon and grassy in taste as well, mineral notes, malty note on the finish. Hop character is nice. Light citrus peel flavors, the alcohol is well hidden, dangerously well hidden.
Mouthfeel is light of all things, it's crisp and refreshing too, extremely drinkable and I wish I had more than 1 bottle.
It's a fantastically good beer and I'm gonna try and get this by the case

This is a perfect example of a Saison. The smell is like a fresh baked loaf of yeasty bread spiked with peppercorns. The head is a lofty pure white pillow and remains for most of the entire drink. The taste is what a farmhouse ale should be - smooth, you immediately taste grape fruity hops and then a peppery and very mild alcoholic finish.
Part of me loves that fact that this beer is 8.5% ABV but part of me wishes it were only half that amount so I could drink more at my favorite pub.

Poured into a Stella Artois chalice
A: Opaque golden. An aggressive pour (big mistake) produced a huge, three inch white head that sat and sat, refusing to dissipate for quite a while. Lots of lacing. My next pour was much slower and gave a better result.
S: Citrus, floral, featuring oranges and lemon zest. Black pepper, too.
T: Smooth with Belgian yeast, oranges, lemons and pepper sliding in on a highly carbonated sleigh. Nice and easy drinking.
M: Light to medium with high carbonation.
O: Again, pour slowly for maximum taste. A great saison. Recommended.
