A - Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Pours a clear yellow. Lots and lots of bubbles. Nice carb. Big 4 finger head that really hangs around
S - Lemons and gapefruit followed by a funk. Tangy aroma but pleasant
T - Earthy and yeasty with a citrusy tangy background/finish. Very heavy on the grapefuit
M - Much heavier feel than it appears it will have. Nice creamy mouthfeel
O - An excellant farmhouse ale. Very drinkable with lots of flavor.

This saison swings more toward the French style. Greater clarity than the Belgian type. Good bitterness, perhaps about 50 to 60 IBUs, with a mild Goldings nose and some more citrusy type of hop, like Columbus. Good hop complement to the more orange citrus profile of what I'm guessing is a French saison yeast, like Wyeast 3711. Sweet start and sweet finish, no tartness or barnyard funk, saved from stickiness by the high bitterness levels. Also, a bit of alcohol on the finish. Thick, long-lasting head. Generally refreshing as a strong French saison should be.
