Served on tap- a treat.
A light golden color with a sizable head.
Cloves and lemon wafted from the head.
The mouth feel was not overdone- although not smooth, which is not common for this style.
The taste was excellent- strong cloves accompanied by lemon as the beer warmed.
Overall an excellent Saison In some ways, I like it better than the Saison Dupont, which is lighter and smoother. The Tank 7 has more clove and lemon character.
Worth drinking regularly- especially on tap.
Serving type: on-tap

Poured from a bottle into a Boulvard Brewing Co., Kansas City, MO pint glass purchased at the brewery where Tank 7 is born.
I saw this beer for sale at the brewery during a summer trip to Kansas City. I didn't buy any there, but I was able to take the tour and have two flights of beer from Boulevard. They were very good beers and so it encourages me to try their strong Farmhouse Ale (Tank 7) when I spotted it again in my local craft brew store.
A: A thick, rich cloudy yellow-gold with a frothy head with a lot of resilience. Thick cloud-like lacing with large bubbles.
S: Big hops, grapefruit, pepper, light toast and a very clean biting aroma.
T: The first sip is sweet, heavy big hop flavor, some citrus notes, clean and peppery with a touch of wheat. The hops in this beer are bold but not overly bitter. Like a 30-40 IBU beer. Very generous flavorings and a lovely sweetness in the midst of the bite. Love it.
M: Thick and rich with some crispness. Falls off to a dry finish like a white wine.
O: Lovely beer, a top notch brew. Wish I had tried it fresh on draft at the brewery! A staple to add to your rotation of strong ales. No overpowering flavors. Predominately hops and sweet peppers. No bad aftertaste, slight bitterness and fairly easy to drink for a thick beer. A+.
