A hazy golden body holds up a 1.5" tall cream colored head of medium density. Lots of carbonation can be seen rising through the beer. Head retention is very good. This beer is appears as a saison should. Aroma is primarily of sweet saison funk, but I also detect citric hops. The taste starts with a slight sweetness and a touch of floral hops. As the beer crests the tongue I get a bit more citric hops and a bit of spiciness. The finish includes a touch of bitterness and funk. A decent funk flavor carries the beer across the tongue. Body is of medium thickness. Carbonation is not as aggressive as something like saison DuPont, but is is there in enough quantity to make this very drinkable. The 8% ABV surprised me. Overall this is a very good saison/farmhouse ale. I quite like the flavor profile, but as a saison enthusiast, I don't think this would make my top 3.
