Poured this Maibock from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. This Golden Bock poured a hazy golden amber color, produced an average head, below average retention and it left little lacing on the glass. The aroma of this ale has a base of pale malted grain, and only mild hops. Light in body, this Maibock had a foundation of toasted malted grain, some slight hints of sweet caramel, and for the style, very nicely hopped. The finish was bitter, more so then i expected. Decent take on a traditional beer style, more hops then you would normally expect. Got to love American Craft Breweries, always adding their own twists. Great session beer, good intro into American craft beer. Success. Prost!
