Poured from bottle into an imperial pint. Best by 06/11/2011 stamped on bottle. This beer is named after Tom Pendergast, the infamous mob boss of Kansas City between 1925 and 1939.
A: Clear, golden, and highly carbonated. Thin off-white head dissapated fairly quickly.
S: Earthy hops with other herbal aromas.
T: Nice hops throughout with caramel notes. Hops and maltiness throughout, with the hops taking the front seat.
M: Medium-light bodied with nice maltiness throughout. Hops bitterness at the end. The hops is more noticeable than the malt but they play off one another quite nicely in taste and body. Active carbonation adds to the dryness at the end.
O: A great spring offering from Boulevard. This is one to look forward to as the green returns!
