Notes/Commercial Description:
With roots in two of today's most popular brewing styles, 80-Acre Hoppy Wheat Beer is the result of careful cultivation by our brewers and cellarmen. Their efforts to craft a hybrid yielded a bumper crop of flavor; a delightfully distinctive ale with the aroma of an IPA and the refreshing taste of a wheat beer.

A- Pale golden body with a slight haze to it. Thick, foamy white head that stays around for a while and leaves some sticky lacing behind.

S- Wheat, lemongrass, spicy hops with a hint of tropical fruits, fresh grass, hints of sweet malt.

T- Wheat shows up in a big way all the way through. Hops add a slight citrus quality with a dash of some tropical fruits before making way for more wheat.

M- In between a chewy wheat beer and a smooth hoppy pale. Slightly dirty mouthfeel, but very drinkable.

O- Pretty good wheat beer. Definitely more of a wheat ale than hop forward beer with wheat. The wheat really shines in the flavor.

Poured from bottle into Guinness Pint Glass.

Appearance: It is amber in color and is slightly hazy. Forms a two fingers head that slowly dissipates, leaving a goodly amount of lacing on the glass.

Aroma: A substantive aroma of grass and hops form quickly from the glass.

Taste: A very nice combination of toasted wheat and hops hit my taste buds up front and lingers quite awhile (great aftertaste). The finish is dry and satisfying.

Overall: This has a similar profile as its Unfiltered Wheat stable mate, but far more interesting and satisfying on all counts. The hops are an awesome addition, making this a must buy for the Summer months.
