Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a Shaker pint glass, "best by" date 3-7-15.

APPEARANCE: pours a hazy golden color with suspended bits floating about, 1 finger white head that quickly dissipated until a thin mostly unbroken layer of bubbles remained, there was significant lacing on the glass.

SMELL: flowers, citrus, pepper and pine.

TASTE: there is no mistaking this is an IPA, initially sweet and then piney hops immediately burst to life and linger in a good way, there is also a citrus note. This beer is in the deep end of the pool for hops at 104 IBU's, the 5.6% alcohol is imperceptible.

PALATE: medium body and carbonation.

OVERALL: this is a hop forward beer to be sure, I have not had many that were as dominant, Hop Juice comes to mind but this is much better. This is a good beer but I prefer a little more balance. It's hard to have more than one of this beer in a sitting because it's very overpowering. It would pair well with beef or bison steak.
