"Best by 03/7/15." 104 IBUs. 12 fl oz brown glass bottle with appealing label and branded pry-off pressure cap purchased as part of a variety 12-pack and served cold into a stem-tulip at high altitude in Castle Rock, CO. Reviewed live as an IPA per the label.

No bubble show forms as it's poured.

HEAD: 3 fingers wide. White colour. Nice creaminess and thickness. Has a full even consistency and a soft complexion. Light lacing sticks to the sides of the glass as the head recedes. Head retention is good - about 6-7 minutes.

BODY: Clear translucent vibrant copper-orange of above average vibrance. Clean; no yeast particulate or hop sediment is visible.

Appears well-carbonated. Not unique or special looking, but good for the style.

AROMA: Pale malts. Floral hop notes. Hints of lime. Tangerine. Mango. Bursts of tropical fruit. Fresh citrusy zest. Clean barley.

It's very pleasant and inviting, lacking any hop bite. Aromatic intensity is mild.

This aroma suggests a balanced brew with complementary hops and malts.

No yeast, alcohol, or off-notes are detectable.

TASTE: Citrusy zest. Tropical fruit. Tangerine, mango, clementine, ruby red grapefruit, pale malts, a dash of caramalt, clean barley, and lime. It's well-balanced and the flavour profile is cohesive, but it doesn't quite taste like a gestalt immutable whole. Not the most complex or intricate IPA I've tried, but it's tasty, and has a nice depth of flavour.

Average flavour duration and intensity. Not real subtle; the notes are pretty overt.

TEXTURE: Irritatingly coarse and dry where it should be smooth and wet. Overcarbonated. Rough and dragging on the palate. Unrefreshing. Medium-bodied. Aptly thick.

Not oily, gushed, hot, boozy, or astringent.

OVERALL: Drinkable and enjoyable for an IPA, with some nice hop flavours. But the mouthfeel is very problematic. It's what you'd expect from a variety pack beer. I'm glad I tried it once, but I wouldn't go out of my to nab it again. It'll find its fans.

Served in a Lagunitas mason jar.

It's been far too long since I've had some Boulevard goodness. This stuff pours a clear brass topped by two fingers of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises light pine resin, light grapefruit zest, and an evanescent twinge of lime. Did I mention things were mild, light, et cetera? The taste holds notes of pine needles, grapefruit rind, powerhouse grass, and mild honey. The body is a light-leaning medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a generally fluid feel. Overall, a solid IPA, but one that doesn't really impress, either. It's a tasty bit, but nothing I'd likely go out of my way to get again.

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy golden orange with big yeastie floaters and a big fluffy white head that retains well and laces the glass some.

The aroma is bready malts and some fruit and floral hops.

The flavor is sweet malts with some citrus and a good sized floral, slightly resiny, hop bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a bit watery.

Overall, a decent bitter IPA.

Pale straw gold in color. Excellent clarity. Inch thick head of foam. Grape fruit like hop aroma is fairly intense. The flavor definitely matches the aroma. Like biting into a grapefruit. Fresh hop flavor and intensely bitter. Mouthfeel is a bit thick and slightly chalky. Nothing amazing.

2nd time drinking this beer, once fresh, now I'm having one that I've aged in the fridge for around a year, plan on having the other on new years. good beer, gets a lot less bitter with time but still holds a good flavor even if its been "expired" since April 0f 14.
