This place is definately a great stop while in chicago! there are 3 different rooms as well as a huge outdoor beer garden with an outside bar when the weather is nice! there are also 2 fireplaces as well when the weather is not so nice! They have 40 different taps (bells hop slam and sparkling ale, surly furious, green flash grand cru, lost abbey red barn to name a few) , a cask and about 90 or more bottles! they have a great little beer book that describes all beer styles as well as a short description about all the bottled beers they have. in the "beer school bar" they have a lot of special events like beer dinners and meet the brewer events. I also enjoy that every employee here knows beer! male, female, bartender or server! they are more than happy to help you pick a beer or give you tasters! Their food is pretty good too. everything is smoked right there in the kitchen. Pulled pork with carolina sauce, delish!
a lot of people forget this place has a great beer selection and its not just another wirgleyville bar! Its an average corner bar with some damn good beers!
