pretty much like all the other binny's, big and corporate, has a cheese counter like the others. large selection of micros and imports. prices tend to be average to a bit more, i rarely see things priced under what i'd pay elsewhere, unless it's something well past it's prime. service is what you'd expect at a big chain. 3f's prices here are higher than anywhere else, and they raised the prices on the stuff they already had in stock when the price increase should not have hit until the new batches came in. boo.

the beer selection at this binnys is pretty substantial, they recently got some alesmith speedway stout, I was surprised, and bought one, the local selection is good, could be better.staff in beer area are informative and helpful, and if you need a cigar, there is usually someone in the humidor that is helpful.good sales and tastings here and there.

Great place and above average Binnys. They have 1 guy in beer that is very knowledge and usually personable and will to let me in on new releases, etc. Beer manager is also a good guy. Only problem is the amount of traffic for craft beers makes next to impossible to get new releases or rare stuff unless you show up right after delivery or know to ask because its held in back and always limit of one.

Fantastic place! this IS the place to go in the western suburbs for beer. the staff is super knowledgeable and willing to talk to you for days about what to buy, try and stay away from based on your preferences. the selection is the best of all Binny's locations i have been to and they are always finding new local brews to stock the shelves. Highly recommend coming here and browsing for a good hour... just remember to bring your wallet and forget telling you wife why you blew $150 on booze.

About once per year I make a day of cruising around and hitting up a bunch of shops looking for things to add to the cellar...
I made the trip here last year but never reviewed it... A problem that shall be rectified thusly;

Low ceilings give the illusion that this store is smaller than it is-- at least compared to the giant box-store locations from this chain. I rather like it, it makes it feel a bit more cozy.

The beer is all on the right side of the store as you walk in, and the highlights for me were;
6 different Jolly Pumpkin beers
A wide selection of Belgian imports, including many sours like 3F, Hansenns, etc. No Cantillon or Tilquin though.

I wandered around for 17 minutes and was approached only once by an employee-- he seemed friendly and answered my gueuze-related questions.

Prices are exactly what Binny's corporate office says they are-- the in-line pricing amongst all the chains is a double edged sword; when they have a good deal, it's available everywhere.... When a beer you really want is over-priced then you're screwed.
Take the rough with the smooth an keep a stiff upper lip.

I always stop in Binny's when in the Chicago area and I picked this location to go to this go-around. The selection was very impressive as usual with plenty of rare/limited beers from Three Floyds, Goose Island, Two Brothers, Dark Horse, and plenty other locals. There is a vast Belgian section and another section dedicated to U.S. craft beer that will take a few minutes just to scope out all the breweries that are stocked. The staff didn't know what Half Acre brewing was (and it's brewed locally) so I thought that was odd, but other than that they were semi-knowledgeable and could tell me where to find breweries but not specific styles. If you stop by, check out the shelves carefully because a lot of rare beers are stocked among the year-rounds.

This is the "go to" store for when I am back home visiting my family. Went here a few times over break and is one of the better Binny's in the suburbs.

Great selection, friendly service, and had some GI BCBS when I was home at Christmas when no other beer stores in the area did (granted I did go in there a week later and they said a woman came in and bought three cases - the beer guy said he was not working then and would have told her no which I respect).

Overall, I will go here whenever I am in town. Cantillon, JP, and many other great beers are here. Built up my cellar a decent amount from this store.

My first visit to a Binny's as I am on contract in the northwest suburbs. Went looking for some Bell's Hopslam and Three Floyd's. I found the last two sixers of Hopslam after being approached and helped by a nice worker.

Will definitely be back to scour the shelves, from first glance it had a lot of variety. I wish I had had more time to browse.

The place was easy to find and had plenty of parking.

I saw others in the forums paying around $16 for the sixers of the Hopslam so they can't be that far off. The other prices seemed on par.

The Binny's in Lake Zurich is a standard stop for me when visiting family in the NW suburbs. Now that my sister lives in Glen Ellyn this Binny's location became an important stop as well. Similar layout, the beer is placed along the right side of the store. The selection is very good emphasis on USA craft beer as well as the important and somewhat obscure choices from Belgium and Germany. If you want Three Floyds, Lost Abbey, or any other beer available in Chicagoland you'll probably be all right here. The only real drawback for me is that Binny's seems to be moving away from stocking Flossmoor beers, a real shame. But still this is a strong stop.
