Quality: This place is always new beers in stock, and has a side stand showcasing all of the new beers that are available.
Service: Service is outstanding. Someone is always around and able to help out with questions, and Anthony (the customer service manager) sends out a weekly e-mail with all the new beers they have in stock.
Selection: The selection is quite good for domestic craft brews. Some of the international selection is lacking, and it would be nice if they had more than just a few single bottles available.
Value: Overall, the prices are pretty good and well in line with other local stores. The sales prices are always very good, and I just picked up a six pack of Great Lakes Dormunder Gold for only $6.49.

About once per year I make a day of cruising around and hitting up a bunch of shops looking for things to add to the cellar...
I made the trip here last year but never reviewed it... A problem that shall be rectified thusly;
Low ceilings give the illusion that this store is smaller than it is-- at least compared to the giant box-store locations from this chain. I rather like it, it makes it feel a bit more cozy.
The beer is all on the right side of the store as you walk in, and the highlights for me were;
6 different Jolly Pumpkin beers
A wide selection of Belgian imports, including many sours like 3F, Hansenns, etc. No Cantillon or Tilquin though.
I wandered around for 17 minutes and was approached only once by an employee-- he seemed friendly and answered my gueuze-related questions.
Prices are exactly what Binny's corporate office says they are-- the in-line pricing amongst all the chains is a double edged sword; when they have a good deal, it's available everywhere.... When a beer you really want is over-priced then you're screwed.
Take the rough with the smooth an keep a stiff upper lip.

I always stop in Binny's when in the Chicago area and I picked this location to go to this go-around. The selection was very impressive as usual with plenty of rare/limited beers from Three Floyds, Goose Island, Two Brothers, Dark Horse, and plenty other locals. There is a vast Belgian section and another section dedicated to U.S. craft beer that will take a few minutes just to scope out all the breweries that are stocked. The staff didn't know what Half Acre brewing was (and it's brewed locally) so I thought that was odd, but other than that they were semi-knowledgeable and could tell me where to find breweries but not specific styles. If you stop by, check out the shelves carefully because a lot of rare beers are stocked among the year-rounds.
