This beer poured a hazy copper with a 2 finger high off white head. I have to mention, that the second I popped open this beer, it absolutely exploded. The bottle itself overflowed all over the table. The initial smell of the beer was slightly wheaty, fruity and malty. Just small hints of everything, but nothing pronounced or impressive. The initial taste of the beer was a slight fruitiness, with some wheat and yeast. Overall the falvor was bland. The brew had a light body with medium carbonation.

I'm glad I split this bottle with someone, because I can't say that I would like to drink two glasses of this stuff. One glass lasted me over 2hours. I couldn't get myself to drink this that often. It never stuck out in my mind as an "Ooo I want some more." All in all, there are way better Saisons in this style and price range.

Golden orange color with a thick two finger head with decent retention.
Initially sour funky aroma with notes of horse mantle and lemon.
Although initial aroma announced a much sour beer, its flavor was still tart but not as intense. Notes of medicinal herbal and earthy hops, leather, lemon, green apples, pears, some spices and ginger. Dry and bitter aftertaste, especially considering its style.
Light body with good carbonation.
A Saison that is not so yeasty with a medium tartness and relatively hoppy. According to them based on an old traditional Saison recipe. I found it pretty decent and the hoppy touch was welcome.

An orange, golden beer with an initial big head.

The smell is hoppy with a nice herbal and noble hop aroma. The malt gives the beer a slight dextrinous smell that balances the yeast character of the saison yeast, which has a cork-like, stale smell.

The taste is quite bitter with the noble hops giving the beer a pilsner like taste. The beer is dry which totally offers a different balance to the beer. The yeast gives the cellar, corky and dry taste distinct for a saison yeast. The dryness of the beer is a bit off balancing the beer and makes the beer a bit less interesting.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly cloudy reddish copper color with a 1-2 finger dense cream colored head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of caramel, grape, pear, cardboard, hay, grass, pepper, clove, bread, and stale earthiness. Awful aromas with a large amount of oxidation and age noticeable. Taste of apple, pear, caramel, grape, cardboard, floral, grass, hay, light pepper, bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness and moderate phenols. Lingering notes of light fruits, caramel, bread, cardboard, floral, hay, and earthy/phenolic yeast flavors on the finish. Moderately unpleasant balance of flavors with moderate phenols present; with lingering oxidation/weird off flavors on the finish for a while. Medium carbonation and body; with a slick and moderately syrupy mouthfeel that is quite unpleasant. Alcohol presence is minimal, but the phenolic flavors really make this hard to drink. Overall this was a horrible saison. I have no idea if age was a culprit here, but this totally went bad. Drained.

On-tap at Moeder Lambic and served in its own stange-like glass. On to the beer:

This saison is yellowish orange in color and topped with an inch of rocky head. Some creamy lace leaves its mark around the glass. The nose of peppered citrus and lemon pepper makes a spicy aroma that is also appealing. Flavor follows the theme of the nose. First thing to cross is spiced citrus, however the flavor is controlled. There's a pleasant echo of hoppiness in the back. Some grass as well enters the picture. Its light bodied with light and gentle crisp carbonation, which keeps the ball rolling in this saison.

I liked this saison. A good daytime drinker as well.

A: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had an amber color and a clear texture. There was a half inch of foamy head that quickly dissipated. Some sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Excellent lacing.

S: An okay aroma of malt, a little citrus, and that saison funkiness.

T: Tasted of malt, citrus (grapefruit?), the aforementioned funkiness, and a slightly bready quality. A decent enough flavor, but doesn't break through to being great.

M: A well-carbonated beer with a sharp, dry finish. Medium-bodied.

O: Not the worst saison I've tried, but it could have been better than it was. A drinkable beer, but kind of forgettable.
