Appearance: Pours medium to dark gold with good head that dissipates fairly quickly. Some yeast floaties were noted atfter the pour.
Smell: Aroma is sweet and fruity upon bottle opening, mildly funky.
Taste: Initial malt sweetness with hop bitterness pulling through halfaway through the taste. Though the ABV is mild, I can detect a bit of a warming effect. I can also taste sour fruits (again a little funky)that seem a bit out of place. As the beer warmed, a bit of a dirty taste emerged.
Mouthfeel: Medium mouthfeel here with a dry finish.
Drinkability: Based on ABV, it would be reasonable- but the odd tastes hurt the overall drinkability.
The taste profile of this beer seems a bit crazy. Perhaps age has something to do with it (will never know since a bottle date was not available).

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe (£2.19):
Light copper & translucent with a 1cm, foamy head that's thick & white with great retention too. The nose is surprisingly fruity & sweet with apples, citrus & sweet malts then a little plum to finish. The taste is a lot more subdued with a little sourness & tart, some blackcurrant flavours & noticeably less sweetness here; there's some citrus, apples & herbal touches at the end too but it's a very poor tasting beer. It's medium bodied & funky with less carbonation showing than usual for a saison. Definitely one that started well but turned out to be a poor one in the end.

Notable tang with hints of green apple, grapefruit and lemon. The feel is a bit thin, but leans more on the cracker and spice complexion for texture. Lots of carbonation, combined with tang is a bit harsh, especially since this saison body can't stand up to it.

poured with a huge white head over an orange tan body. Loved the lengthy grassy notes and cleanness on the palate.
Less hop than anticipated, but not a bad thing
If there is such a thing as a session Saison, this it!

First beer tasted from the International Beer Collector December Series.
A - Awesome dark honey cloudy hue. With a decent head that retains well.
S - Candied sugar and some malt
T - Rather disappointing. Slight citrus and grapefruit with some malt but a little too sweet for me
M - No issues here, just about nailed the medium body and medium carbonation.
O - Two critical elements very well done, but the two most critical elements disappoint.
