A: nice crisp clear blonde beer, nice fluffy head, a light body

S: the beer smelled hoppy but not pungent, a hint of graspingness background.

T: the beer test a bit bitter at first then dissipate with the second sip.

D: very drinkable beer, really light crisp refreshing.I can see myself drink this on a really hot summer (in the shade off course)

Green 25cl bottle: part of a pack bought for my son, he'll drink anything.

Poured into a chalice on 23 Feb 14, the 4th beer in a random beer tasting evening with myself.

Basic French supermarket cheap beer.

Grainy, metallic and nasty.

Looks OK: clear, bright and golden, no head though.

Not something I could recommend. It might be OK in a hot sweaty kitchen or in the sun, but fails drastically on a damp, dark, cold evening in February, even with heating on in my Shropshire home:I'd give it a miss if I was you!

We twist the tops off a bottle each and pour a brew of dusky goldenrod. There is no lacing on the pour, but a half finger white film is produced upon a hearty swirl. This produces bits of lacing. Carbonation appears average, and no sediment or haze is noted. The nose is mild, but otherwise rich with adjuncts. There is white rice and floury malts, with hints of booze and copper. As we sip, rice and flour, as in the nose, pound up front. There is a cornbread vibe to the flavoring, but it is cooled and metallic, with canned milk. The middle shows more of the same, with souring and bittering adjuncts. These bitters and metallics enhance through the finish, with supreme flour and dried, musty malts. The aftertaste breathes of raw pasta, adjuncts, corn, copper, and light alcohols. The body is lighter, and the carbonation is medium. The mouth is sucked of all moisture after an initial wet, watery coating. There is little slurp or cream to each sip. The abv is appropriate, and the beer drinks okay.

Overall, what we enjoyed most about this beer was the color. Otherwise it was a bland, bitter, and unpleasantly bready drink. The feel was confusing for the style, and the nose offered nothing special. It was somewhat refreshing, but other than on a beach or at a frat party, this beer has little promise.

Bottle Received as an "extra" in a trade....thanx for nothing. I know Lagers in general are Light and very drinkable, and there are some really good Lagers & Pilseners. This started off bad, the smell was skunky, and it was within 2 months of Exp. date. But the taste was better than the smell, Light hop, grassy, and a touch of lemon. But just to grainy and had that "BMC" tang to it.
Not very good at all.

Had this at Chateau de Saigon on Buford Highway in Atlanta - I got the authentic Vietnamese version. Pours a typical clear yellow with a decent white head. Aroma is crisp, malty and just a little fruity. Flavor is about average for a lager, malty and fruity but at least it tastes better than the industrial swill. Texture is lively and a little tingly. An average beer, but good as an accompaniment for dinner or for a party.

33cl Bottle, defiling my nice tulip glass.

"33", for whatever reason being in quotes, pours an incredibly generic and flat looking yellow/gold. There is a head, albeit less than 1/2 finger, and it's gone within seconds, even with the nucleated glass. That and it comes in a green bottle.

The smell is not good. The word "ripe" comes to mind, and not like a fruit that has reached its full potential. We're talking a slightly skunky smell mixed with an attempt at sour/bitter.

The taste isn't bad, but there's almost no flavor. There is a slight sour flavor which doesn't feel like it should be there, followed by a slight bitterness which is alright, and then a strangely metallic taste.

The mouthfeel is again unimpressive, but again, not as bad as the taste, which wasn't as bad as the smell. It seems pretty generic, but there's almost nothing to it. Weak carbonation, light bodied.

I would not recommend this beer. I didn't buy it myself, but it was the only thing my roommate picked up, and I felt inclined to try it. As far as Pale European Lagers go, stick with something like Grimbergen, 1664 or Pelforth.

25cl bottle. There's just no way to tell who makes this stuff. A google search turned up evidence that it is brewed by Heineken and so I'm going with that. I've found other claims of origin and my guess is that it is contract brewed by any local generic lager brewer. Looks clear yellow and fizzy. No head retention whatsoever. More color than Coors Light is the kindest I can say. Smells tinny and astringent. Tastes like generic beer. Sharp up front. Slight malt then a wallop of sour, wet paper taste. Mouthfeel is bubbly and watery. Drinkability is this beer's strong suit. If it is served numbingly cold. And you're very hot. And very thirsty. And drinking it in a walk-in freezer so there is no chance of it warming to tasteable levels during the drinking process.

50cl can, 4.5% ABV: I picked this up at the local food store in France just to have something cold with my sandwich. This brew pours a typical clear pale yellow color with a good sized white head on it. It also has a fairly typical commercial light lager aroma. Some grassiness, definitely corn adjuncts, maybe some malt. The taste is also fairly typical. Not offensive at all, but not exciting either. Some malt and corn taste. Acceptable as a thirst quencher, but for nothing else.

Pours golden with fizzy head that immediately disappears, no lacing, full of large carbonation bubbles. Aroma is sweet citrusy malt.

Taste is slightly astringent and unpleasant bittery bite followed by malt, dry finish. Aftertaste is a combination of citrusy hops and artificial sugars. Mouthfeel is medium with rather high carbonation.

I really did not like this one. Quite awful. Maybe drinkable when very, very cold.
