I have been a regular at the other location for years and driving pass this one, thought I would give it a try. It is a wine store that has beer. True, the wine takes up about 80% if this huge building, but the large part of the beer section is BMC. They have the big crafts, but you will not find anything there special. Nice to see the Stone BC beer taking up some serious real estate. The service sucks; no one in the area but 5 guys stacking, unstacking, restacking, (and talking) vodka boxes and they had no clue about any of the beers I asked about. The prices were fair for what they carry, but do not make any special trips to this store unless you really like looking at alot of wine neat arranged.

This place is amazing. The selections in liquor, wine and of course beer is unending. If they don't have it, it hasn't been made. Hundreds of beer selections in bottles, cans, kegs and a growler station will make any beer enthusiasts feel like he's died and gone to heaven.

The infamous Total Wine of the borderlands! Truly massive and rather busy, but mostly wine and spirits. The beer is almost like an afterthought here...

I do like their growler station, with 24 handles and good stuff including Merry Monks, Palo Santo, Brooklyn Blast... also their mix-and-match singles section, divided in style or region (odd to see "New York", "Boston" instead of "IPA", "Porter" and what not).

Nothing terribly amazing here. This is not the place for your special releases or barrel-aged brews, but it is a good place for daily beer needs at excellent prices. They do have a lot of four-packs (at room temperature unfortunately) priced nicely: $7,99 for Victory Dirtwolf, $11.99 for Burton Baton.

No help on the beer section but friendly wine folks. I prefer the NJ stores for variety, but you can't beat the prices here in DE.

Well it is yet another Total Wine store. The ambience is pretty much the same, however this one is at first a little misleading.

From the outside the store is very large, and when you enter you see a vast wine section to the left of you. THe beer however is nestled to the right, in generic shelves with industrial white flooring in about 2 -3 rows. It really only seems to take up about 5% of the store.

Selection is varied, with the mix a six options but many of the items are also old as per typical TW. The seasonals and new arrivals selection is quite large, but it's diversity is lacking as it seems to be focused on bulk. There were lots of Octoberfest, and Pumpkin beers here already and mostly in quantity not in variety.

Staff though is very solid and helpful. I spoke on the phone before I arrived asking when shipments were coming in or deliveries and they told me with no problem about when items arrive. I hated the idea coming right after a weekend to see a bunch of empty shelves. Still as for someone who lives in the DC area the selection here isn't that much different, it's much of the same regular brews you find.

The store also carries some spirits as well with the wine.

Very reasonable and inexpensive for prices due to not being in a large metro area and no sales taxes. If I lived close enough, I could probably become a regular, but I don't see myself going all the way out here often, most of what I saw here I can get elsewhere.

I live about fifteen minutes away from here in Pennsylvania, so I tend to hop the border for a quick beer run free of ridiculous prices.

Atmosphere: It's nicely set up, a fairly large store. However, it gets crazy crowded at times, to the point of where I can't look at beer for more than a few seconds without someone blocking me (This mainly occurs around the cooler area). Still, overall it's not bad.

Quality: The beer is usually pretty fresh, but there are a few times where I've mistakenly bought expired beer. However, it's not anything atrocious like a year past the bottling date. Just a few months old.

Service: Never asked for help, but the cashiers are just your average cashiers. Nothing to note here, really.

Selection: A great selection of singles, which is by far their best quality. You can do the pick a six thing, where you get an empty six pack and pick six singles of your choice; it's nice not having to stick 18 singles loosely into a cart. They don't have a bad selection of cold beer either, but the singles are definitely the highlight.

Value: It's cheap as hell to me, but then again I'm from Pennsylvania, the bastard state of beer pricing. I also buy beer from an Acme in New Jersey pretty regularly, and the prices here are pretty comparable, just no tax, which is cool.

Overall: If you're close by, have a stop. It certainly couldn't hurt, and you could do a lot worse.
