On tap at the Bootlegger's 5th Anniversary Celebration held at The Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton, CA.
Pours a hazy gold with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, spice, and Belgian yeast aromas. Taste is much the same with yeast and spice flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a strong emphasis on the Belgian yeast.

On tap at the brewpub. Pale amber color in the pint shaker with modest carbonation and a thin head that lasts for a good while. Whiff of yeasty malt and general beeriness, but nothing distinctive.
A lot of yeasty flavors right in your face to start. It dries out very quickly, more than most of the Belgian-inspired brews. Not much of a malty body, but a sweet warmth to start. Quite sharp on the tongue. There doesn't seem to be any sort of fruit here. It's mostly just the dry tangy taste. It is quite drinkable, but it seems quite heavy on the yeasty funk given the light nature of the other flavors.
