On-tap at Newport Beach Brew Co.
A: The beer pours a pale straw color with a short lived white head.
S: Smells almost entirely like corn. Maybe just a slight graininess to it. Some grassy hop notes as well as some straw. Perhaps a touch of bread if I'm feeling generous.
T: A mild bitterness which is pretty much expected for a blonde ale. Like the nose, tons of corn with just a hint of grain/malt and bread. Minimal grassy hop contributions.
M: Light in body with a medium level of carbonation.
O: Light and corny, not really my thing.

thin body, crisp and clean; fair carbonation.
Mild notes of grains upfront with a hint of citrus; notes of lemon zest and an undertone of pine.
Finishes clean with a slight bitterness.
Overall; simple and clean; highly drinkable...a fair blonde, perfect right after a day at the beach.

Consumed 04/21/08.
Clear pale golden. Barely-there head of white foam quickly disappears.
Aroma of cooked corn.
Light grainy flavor. A touch of corn on the aftertaste.
This is really not a style I care for, but, even having said that, I suspect there can be a much better version of this made.

Sampled yesterday with my girlfriend, the only beer she really liked and one of my least favorites, I think pints were four dollars of this
A-Golden yellow color with a bit of a pale straw look, 3/4 inch white foamy head, some retention at the beginning, no lacing
S-Floral hops, yeast, barley, some wheat, lemon juice, few other fruits, skunkiness, and bready malt aromas
T-Did not taste much different than a Coors Light to me, refreshing and thirst quenching but not a tasty beer, watered down, some hops at first, then chewy malt, and a weak dry finish, no complexity and one dimensional, did not really changed as it warmed, just got more flat and watery, not my thing
M-Smooth and crisp mouthfeel, thin body, taste did not last long at all, lots of carbonation
D-Could drink this all day if I enjoyed the taste, incredibly light, low ABV, goes down too easy
Not a fan of blondes in the first place but this was weaker than most others evem, would not even think about ordering this if I went back here, not recommended

This brewpub Blonde Ale is straw gold in color with a thin white fading head. Light wet malt aroma. Light wheat flavored mellow malt. Low in Nobles hops. Bud-like, but fresh from the brewery makes it palatable, and in fact drinkable. Good for a hot day in the sun.
