Its OK, a drinkable session but not one that is memorable. Their Vienna lager is so much better, spend time there.

Middle of the road, solid but unspectacular session IPA. Deep gold pour, moderately carbonated, quickly dissipating head. A fairly significant malt presence brings up grain/biscuit in the flavor, while citrus and floral flavors rise to compete, but never really approach deep flavor. Not delicious, not offensive--just okay.

L - Hazy golden amber, head quickly dissipates with some lacing remaining
S - Not evident
T - Malty and well-balanced hops, tastes like a higher ABV than it is
F - Light carbonation, substantial mouth feel
O - Most session IPAs end up being bitter and thin like a failed Czech pilsner. This tastes like a classic New England IPA, except I can drink a couple and still be able to form complete sentences.

Definitely sessionable...
I could probably drink a whole sixer of this stuff, if I really wanted to, which I don't necessarily want to. It's not a bad session beer, it's just not one of the better one's I have had. The taste was a bit watered down for my, well, taste and so the rest of it was kinda ho-hum. Again, it's not a bad beer, it's just I've had better session beers to date.

It's a golden-amber color, somewhat cloudy with a slight white head. It came from a twelve ounce can and now rests in a clear pint glass. The aroma is IPA light, with a subdued malt and hop profile. This hits the points IPA drinkers want. There is a modest malt backbone which provides a little sweetness. There are definitely more hops, clean and bitter, than should be expected in a session beer. Yet, it seems to be as all inclusive in overall taste and mouthfeel as a full forced complete IPA. Want a good ale with less than a 5% ABV, here it is.

(12 oz can, code 06/20/19; purchased single off shelf... poured into a Belhaven pub pint)
L: was clear yellow-amber liquid until the dregs spilled in, got mildly hazy with speckled sediment... maybe owing to the sediment, but the gummy-spongy, white foam collapses quick, leaving thin cap
S: orange, lemon, light caramel (malt)... bit of mango and sultana soon pushes out, then some lightly-toasty, delicately-bready pale malt, then a subtle floral perfume... nice intensity of aromas, nothing unique, a bit West-coasty?
T: rich rivulets of citrusy hops, moderately spicy-floral finish... one of those IPAs where the lightly-biscuity malt provides a firm foundation but buried in the aftertaste by spicy (grapefruit, lemon), mildly acidic-biting hop resins... again, nothing unique, but excellent intensity, with a hint of soft strident alcohol... did not know Sorachi Ace was in this, may enhance the lemony brightness of the hops; hmm, now I'm tasting it...
F: satiny resins, spicy hum in the aftertaste lit up a bit by the alcohol, softly undercut dry finish, powdery residual film giving a lil lip-smack... not quite as thin as most other session IPAs, though the absence of that lil bit of alcohol warmth is apparent, but the bitterness masks it
O: solid little spicy pale ale with a ton of hop flavor and enough bready backbone to satisfy this malt maniac... as I stated with their pilsner I just tried, glad I got over my disappointment with their Vienna lager to come around to trying these, both hitting some of the right spots with me (1496)

12 oz can. Pours golden with long lasting, fluffy white head and nice lacing. Aroma is of citrusy hops, caramel malt and tropical fruit. Body is medium and smooth. Herbal, citrusy hops, caramel malt and tropical fruit nicely balanced on the palate. Finish is long and dry. Very nice brew.
