We don't have to review a beer anymore to add it, ok? Well, call me old school, here goes:
Growler purchased from Breeze In (Lemon Creek, Juneau, AK):
Into a pint glass:
A: somewhat clear yet also slightly bronze/amber colored body with a slight film of a white head gracing the top of the body - it quickly dies and there's barely any lacing sticking to the sides of the glass
S: mostly malty up front, however there are some hops trying to make a presence
T: sweet through the malts, hops tend to go away in the flavoring, slight bitter yet sweet aftertaste, dry finish
M: light to medium, fairly sessionable, carbonation is spot on for the style and for me as its kinda smooth but not too much - just all around good
O: good Oktoberfest/Marzen, good job Alaskan Brewing Company, looking forward to get this next Autumn. However, I feel the need to say this: this one seems to be just a tad more bitter than most Oktoberfests I've had.
Serving type: growler
