12oz bottle, from a stop at Belmont Station in Portland a few months back.

This beer pours a very dark, almost black cola hue, with one finger of thin foamy beige head, which leaves some wafting, streaked lace around the glass as it recedes. It smells of roasted malt, toasty oats, tart black fruit, and dark bitter chocolate. The taste is more sweet, lightly roasted malt, breakfast cereal graininess, some oily nuttiness, mild lactic sourness, medium baker's chocolate, and mild earthy hops. The carbonation is quite tame, the body a solid medium weight, smooth, and not shy in its silky creaminess. It finishes off-dry, for certain, the chocolate-enveloped malt carrying the day against a weakly bitter leafy hop offset.

An agreeable stout, lots going on, but at the same time, approachable. Maybe a bit too sweet for a whole six-pack session, but no shame in saving a few for next time.

Stout pours a black color with a small but nicely lacing white head. There is a weak smokey and roasted aroma. The taste has a sweet smokey and roasted flavors. The flavors are a bit weak, and the feel is too carbonated. Overall its a pretty good oatmeal stout.

Never had this before so here goes.

Pours a nice solid black color with a brown ring at the edge, 1/2 finger mocha head that didnt last long. Some bubbles remain.

Smell is very inviting with some strong roasty, caramel, sweet and sour notes, oats, chocolate, and dates.

Taste is a short burst of coffee and cocoa notes then right away you get this oatmeal driven flavor that stays on the tongue until a nice bitter bite at the end. Finishes with a smooth taste, no bitter aftertaste.

Feel is medium to low carbonation but with a light feel to it, but just about right for 5.7%

Over all a decent oatmeal stout, I just wish there was just a bit more malt punch to it, It's kind of watery.
