12-oz. bottle into a pint glass at my house on Sept. 21, 2012 (purchased at a 7/11 in Mission Gorge (San Diego, Calif.) for a 6-pack price of $8.49 on Sept. 21, 2012). Less than a finger of head, that dissipated right away. Dark amber with off-white head. Bad retention all-around.
Smelled caramel, dark fruits, cherry, plum and nuts.
Tasted similar to the nose. Got malts, plum, dark fruits, caramel, light toffee, honey and nuts.
Medium body. Oily texture. Below-average carbonation. Slightly bitter finish.
Pretty much the definition of an average amber for me.
