06/20/05- Had at the Red Door in Billings, MT.
Presentation- Poured from the tap into a random pint glass.
Appearance- Amber pour...duh! Good sized head with acceptable lacing.
Smell- Light nuttyness with a sweeter malt scent.
Taste- More roasted malt flavor than expected. The malt is also sweeter than expected. Big nutty flavor and a decent hop background.
Mouthfeel- Smooth and pretty creamy. Moderate to high carbonation.
Drinkability- One of the better Amber Ales I have had. Can't believe I waited this long to try it. Good deal.
Serving type: on-tap

This particular brew has a magnificent dark amber appearance, though little or no head. The amber has a mild, sweet aroma, nothing special. The taste was disappointing for me quite watery in both mouthfeel and taste. Somewhat sweet at first, hints of citrus and carmel then fades to an okay alcoholic taste. I was expecting a bit more from this beer- I do enjoy my amber ales. I will finish this bottle but will not go back for seconds.
I would recommend to a girl.
