Appearance: dirty-penny-brown, no head at all, much lighter than the draft version, good clarity
Aroma: sweet flowery caramel notes, a slight touch of roastiness, hazelnuts, fruity
Flavor: smooth caramel malt flavor with a supremely balanced hop-level; starts out a bit sweet, but is equalized in the finish by a gentle hop bitterness; nutty, toffee-like aftertaste
Mouthfeel: medium-light body, zinging carbonation provides some counterpoint to the sweetness, smooth
Overall Impression: I've had this on draft many times and I'm not sure which I like better. The carbonation is at a much better level out of the bottle, so that's a plus (draft can get a bit sweet). Alaskan is a fantastic brewery. I like all of the beers I've tried from them.
