A - Amber / deep-copper hazy brew with a 1/2 finger head of khaki fizz. The head eventually recedes to a wispy haze and persistent collar. Not much lace.
S - Nutty banana-bread malt aromas with loads of caramel. Dark fruits (prunes and dried apricots), toast, molasses, and grapes. I also smell some "wet-dog" aromas too.
T - Autumnal flavors of dried fruit (raisns, prunes, and apricot), toast, and nuts. Hops are leafy and don't really show a lot of character, but serve to balance the malts quite well. Toasty.
M - Medium bodied, creamy, and extremely smooth, but with lively carbonation.
D - Nice nose, but sort of boring tasting. At 4.0% this is a prime session candidate. A nice alternative to brown or amber ales....sort of reminds me of Anchor steam in a way.
