Richly malty and long on the palate, with just enough hop backing to make this beautiful amber colored "alt" style beer notably well balanced.

Pours a clear amber color with an off-white head. Sweet toffee and caramel malt aroma. A touch of bread, sweet grape, and a little bit of red fruit. Maybe a hint of banana. Sweet malt and grape on the palate. Toffee malt, a little bit of toasted bread, and some red fruits. Minimal hoppiness, just a little bit of floral hop character.

Pours a clear, dark copper color with a quickly dissipating off-white head. Very nice aroma consisting of sweet raisin, sweet banana, and pumpkin spice ice cream. The aroma takes me to September/October for Oktoberfest. Maybe even the Covered Bridge Festival, if you've been in west-central Indiana in October. Mouthfeel is characterized by being light to medium body, soft, and wet. The flavor is a bit of a disappointment. Heavy nutmeg and cinnamon from start to finish. A little Dogfisheadish in their aggressiveness with spice. A lot of pumpkin pie and Oktoberfest. Not great, but certainly drinkable.

Appropriately amber in color, thin lightly tan head of foam that leaves a bit of spotty lace.

Nutty, malty sweet, hint of earth. Just a bit light overall.

Solid malt sweetness, nutty, mildly fruity, earthiness to the hops. Slight alcohol at the end. Really tasty beer overall.

Very soft carbonation, lighter side of a medium body. Smooth and lightly crisp. Quite refreshing in fact.

One of the more enjoyable alt beers I've had. I think this is a really good beer that drinks exceptionally well. Quite surprised by this one.

I've had this a number of times over the years, and the bottles I've had this year have been much, much better. Hard to compare from memory, but there is more malt and less astringency than I recall, and this is a great drinking beer.

This is still one of the better alts you can readily acquire despite its flaws.

Bought a Growler of this brew from the Beer Shoppe in Yakima, WA for $12. Poured from the White/Yellow/Green Labeled "Beer Shoppe" Growler into a 16oz Yakima Tennis Club Mug.

Aroma- Sweet, has an amber nose, and very malty. Light dry hopped flavor but only in the background.

Appearance- Pours a 1 finger head that dies fairly quick. Has an amber, clear body and leaves a few suds behind.

Flavor- Has a very sweet beginning with only light hops around. VERY malty. Sweet bite at the finish. Average.

Mouthfeel- Light-Medium Bodied, High Carbonation, Sweet, and malt on the finish.

Overall Impression- Didn't quite impress me with the lack of hops... Overly carbonated and too sweet all around. Should have more of the dry hops I found in the aroma in the taste. Not sure about this!

Appearance:
Very nice copper color. Some carbonation rising. Small head that disappear really quick.

Aroma:
Sweet aroma, but very light... Caramel and fruity esters.

Taste:
Very rich and malty. Lots of caramel malts, biscuity, hazelnut, toasty, just slight hint of chocolate. Just touch of bitter hops towards the finish.

Body:
Very smooth. Medium body, yet pretty creamy. Carbonation is very nice.
