I am sampling a chilled bottle in a pint glass. The beer was given to me by my brother after his trip to Alaska.
The beer pours a bright clear gold color with a spongy, fizzy bleached white head foaming up. The head lingers as a thin surface layer throughout sampling.
The aroma is mostly grassy hops and not much else maybe some mild caramel too.
First sip reveals an average bodied beer with tingly carbonation that tickles my tongue on each sip.
Flavor is sweet caramel malt momentarily and then switches over to grassy hops that linger on the finish briefly.
The beer is smooth and drinkable and has a crisp hop finish that keeps things interesting. I bet this would be great at a BBQ or with spicy foods. I enjoy this one!
