Notes from a trip to Cordova AK June 2002
Fairly hazey yellow color with a full foamy white head. Mild smell, this was almost to mild, very light hops and some lemon-like notes. Taste of sweet hops and hints of lemony fruit and fruity sugars, light but solid. Nice and smooth, light and pleasing feel with a medium malt body, excellent. Finish is also smooth, a little dry with a great, thin hoppy tone.
One hell of a great easy drinker!
While in Alaska last summer I was able to get a variety of the Alasan brews and this was my favorite. I even made room in my suitcase and took home a 12 of this stuff. Much better then the Amber and smashed the ESB. I didn't get to try any Smoked Porter or Oatmeal Stout, damn! Out of season. Still a great trip.
