Pours a deep brown/black in color with an appropriate head.
Smell is of chocolate and with rich berry notes. A hint of oak in the mix.
Taste initiates with a slapshot of burnt smoky oak embers. This is not a hanging by the campfire smell/taste, but one of sniffing a charred log that was burning all night and has just recently become touchable. And now your fingers have that smoky sense as well!
Good feel and drinkability with a moderate ABV. The intensity of the smoke does diminish with exposure as the taste buds adjust. Rather pleasant.

Appearance: Poured into a pint glass. black with a nice head with retention.
Smell: Smoke, caramel, coffee, chocolate nirvana.
Taste: Delivers amazing balance of smooth smoke with an amazing finish. I am in love with the smoked flavor. Doesn't over power like some. So well balanced.
Drinkability: This beer is my go to for the love of beer. If you don't like porters, or smoked beer stay away. if you like smoked porters, this is the one. Stone is close, but not as good.
