Appearance: Hazy medium gold body, with a large, dense, and coarse white head, which retains well. Faint streams of fine carbonation drift slowly to the surface. Scattered, patchy lacing adorns the glass walls.
Aroma: Fairly prominent grapefruit and pine tar hops dominate the aroma. Sweet, pale malt is also notable, although it is overshadowed by the hops.
Taste: Opens with sharp grapefruit rind hop flavors, these dominate throughout the taste. As the taste progresses, sweet orange hops are present, although to a greatly lesser extent, as well, as a modest pale malt presence, with a subtle toasted flavor. Late in the taste, there are some notable grassy hop flavors as well. Finishes with a lingering, moderate grapefruit and pine hop flavors.
Mouth feel: Smooth, very soft, and full, with slight zesty carbonation.
Drinkability/notes: Nicely done, a solid example of the style.
Presentation: Packaged in a short twelve-ounce brown glass bottle with a pry-off cap, served in a New Belgium Brewing chalice.

Bottle received in trade from BeerKangaroo, thanks for the opportunity.
Pours a crystal clear deep golden color with a huge bubbly off white head that persists forever. Aromas of caramel and citrus dominate with hints of mineral to round it out. The flavor is a bit of pine, spice, and citrus with a solid bready caramel to back it up. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick resinous mineral mouthfeel. Nice easy drinker, a bit old school but certainly serviceable.
