This beer pours a golden color with a foamy white head, looks good so far. Smell is that of floral hops but fainter than I'd expect for an IPA. The taste was a big letdown, this beer had an astringent grainy taste to it. Hop bitterness was there but the astringency took away from the taste. It could have used more flavor hops as well. This beer is medium-light bodied. One of the worst offerings from this great brewery. After their smoked porter, oatmeal stout and ESB, I felt let down.

Bottle received in trade from BeerKangaroo, thanks for the opportunity.
Pours a crystal clear deep golden color with a huge bubbly off white head that persists forever. Aromas of caramel and citrus dominate with hints of mineral to round it out. The flavor is a bit of pine, spice, and citrus with a solid bready caramel to back it up. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick resinous mineral mouthfeel. Nice easy drinker, a bit old school but certainly serviceable.
