Alaskan IPA is honey gold in color with a fruity, citrus aroma. An enticing blend of hops and our dry hopping process, in which hops are added directly to tanks during fermentation, give this brew a very intense, complex aromatic character with a refreshing hop finish.

A - semi hazy golden orange, finger of head settled at a thin cover with plenty of lacing
S - pineapple citrus and light perfume, some grains, hint of bubble gum aroma
T - citrus and peppery hop notes up front, some crisp leafy greens, decent crackery malt backbone, bit of bubble gum sweetness
M - light and well carbonated, maybe just a tad thin, mild bitter finish
O - has a decent mix of hop flavours with just enough maltiness to keep it honest, this would be very easily sessionable

IPA smells of sweet grape fruit and pine. Taste is subtile and smooth with the hops at first and I can also taste a small hint of wheat and an dry bitterness at the end that lingers. This is a Decent IPA I could enjoy this on a summer night strumming the guitar on the back porch.

look: 4.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4

Appearance:
Golden-amber color, hazy. Lots of small bubbles rising up. Thick frothy head. Leaves a very nice lacing behind.

Aroma:
Grassy, piney, slight citrusy. Fruity. Sweet malts.

Taste:
Pale malt up front, bready, caramel. Hop bitterness is moderate, mainly grassy, piney, leafy, there some citrus. Tartness towards the finish, a little dry. Body is light-medium, crisp, refreshing.

Overall:
Pretty light for an American IPA, otherwise it's really good IPA, highly drinkable, very refreshing.

22oz bottle into pint glass

A two-fingered head sits atop a golden-sunset light orange brew. The head dissipates to a fine creamy foam and carbonation seeps up from the bottom of the glass. The scent is not strong as my beer is still cold, but it smells wonderfully of hops and caramel. The taste is of strong, fresh cascade hops. Citrus fruit and evergreen needles please the mouth over a background of bready biscuit malt. Medium-light body with plenty of carbonation, but not overwhelming fizz. Lacing stays strong all the way down the glass.

This is refreshment on the level of SNPA, which is a high compliment. Very hoppy and very tasty.
