Notes/Commercial Description:
Alaskan IPA is honey gold in color with a fruity, citrus aroma. An enticing blend of hops and our dry hopping process, in which hops are added directly to tanks during fermentation, give this brew a very intense, complex aromatic character with a refreshing hop finish.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a tall pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a bright and clear golden orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. About two fingers of white head that slowly fade into a thin creamy layer. Leaves a lot of lacing.

Smell: A juicy and earthy hop forward aroma with hints of citrus fruit and pine. Upfront citrus hops with hints of orange peel, grapefruit, pineapple, lemon, and tangerine. Big scent of pine resin. Also some grassy hop hints. Soft pale malt background with hints of grains, cracker, and yeast. Very hop forward and ripe smelling. Pretty solid.

Taste: Like it smells, a ripe and juicy hop driven taste with good notes of citrus and pine. Citrus hops with some upfront notes of grapefruit, orange peel, lemon, pineapple, and tangerine. Big taste of piney hops. Earthy notes of pine resin. Soft bready malt background presence with notes of grains, cracker, and yeast. Very hop dominate and pretty good taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Juicy, slightly oily, and pretty drying on the finish. Nicely smooth.

Overall: A pretty solid IPA. Good pine and citrus bite with a balanced smooth body.

Beer pours a hazy orange color with a strong finger of fluffy white head.

Piney aroma, no malt notes. Fairly simple, just a whole lot of hops that smell like pine.

Beer also tastes pretty simple. It is hop forward with a bitter lingering finish. Taste of pine and a little danky.

Medium Body, good carbonation for the style.

Overall, an okay beer. There are no flaws, and it is pretty easy drinking. It just does not stand out or anything. It would be good for a session IPA. It is not too high in ABV or IBUs.
