Nice golden-amber color, thin fizzy head. Color runs just a bit darker than some other Kolsches.
Smell is quite restrained... almost to the point of absence. Some faint grain and maybe some damp hay. But not much.
Some dry, honey-like malt is followed by a bit of spicy/citric hop. A little brief puckery sour chases the aftertaste, preceeding a gentle and clean bitter hop bite.
Nice crisp and dry mouthfeel.
I've not been super keen on Kölsch in the past, but I'm starting to come around and Alaskan Summer Ale has not hurt that process.

A-golden color with a smallish white head and good lacing
S-bread dough, light fruit, hint of yeast, light caramel
T-bready malt, light Kolsch yeast, little caramel, light spice
F-medium body with moderate carbonation, smooth
O-easy drinking but lacks any really good Kolsch flavors
