On-tap at The Alibi in Corona, CA. Nice to see Alaskan Brewing on-tap. On to the beer:
It looks like a wheat ale, not a white ale. Yellowish orange color, littlle head, a few polka dots of lacing. Smells like....blueberry? Hmmm.
Not a crazy flavor, but it's better than nothing at all. The bartender said it has a mild dill flavor, and I agree with him. I also found hints of bluebeery, or as drinkers of Leinenkuegel Sunset Wheat would say, fruity pepples. It's a little crisp, and drinks well.
Good drinking, but lacking character for the style. With that in mind, Alaskan White might be good while grilling outdoors, or if you're looking for a small beer, but there are tens of better tasting wits on the markets.
Serving type: on-tap
