Pours a slightly hazy dirty blonde color with a white head of foam that disappointingly doesn't last...not even lacing at the end.
Aroma is lemon grass and wheat malts with hints of orange peel and coriander.
Taste is much like the aroma, only more so. Nice balance is achieved with an initial malty sweetness followed immediately with a sharp bite on the tongue from the massive carbonation, hints of lemon, bitter coriander, and light orange peel.
Aftertaste is bright, crisp and clean with a hint of the orange rind that disappears quickly forcing you to take another sip.
This is a very nice light beer for the dog days of summer, but I'm not really sure if I would call it a witbier. American Summer Wheat, perhaps, but lacking some of the dimension I expect in a nice witbier.
