Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. 04/10/09.
Pours a mostly clear golden color with about a finger of soft whitish head. The head quickly disappeared to almost nothing, poor retention. Aroma is citrusy and spicy, with orange, lemon, and coriander.
Taste is similar to the aroma. Sweet up front with lots of wheat and citrus flavor. Orange peel and zesty lemon are prominent, as is a good amount of coriander and light pepper. The finish is slightly tart with an herbal hop presence. Very tasty with a great spice character.
Feel is very good. Plenty of carbonation helps to create a smooth and light-medium body. The finish is nice and dry. Drinkability is great. I couldn't put my glass down. The low ABV almost makes it sessionable.
Overall, a very good witbier. Very tasty and refreshing for a warm day. Definitely give this one a try.
