glass: Sam Adams glass
a: Dark, deep ruby/brown body with a 2-finger creamy tan-colored head.
s: dank and piny hops with a deep sugary, dark fruit malt base underneath.
t: surprisingly close to sublimely self-riotous but turned down a notch. It's piny and sappy with a touch of malt sweetness. Underlying chocolate can be detected as well. Finishes bitter with some lingering hops.
n: Medium to full bodied with medium to high carbonation. A bit too carbonated imo.
o: A affordable alternative to Stone's black ipa offering, perfect.
